La scène se déroule à Manhattan, vers 1941. Il y a soixante-quinze ans, dans un atelier d’inventeurs, situé dans un bâtiment au bout d’une ruelle étroite appelée « 41 Murray St. » ; le Chemex était né.
La plus grande histoire est celle de l’excentricité, de la curiosité, de la persévérance et de l’invention. Cette histoire a inspiré l’affiche « Home of the Chemex » que Chemex a créé avec amour pour le New York Coffee Fest.
En raison de la forte demande pour la belle pièce, ils ont décidé de l’ajouter à leur collection de marchandises. Il comporte le tout premier logo Chemex et un dessin vintage de notre carafe bien-aimée.
Le « X » sur le plan du métro marque l’emplacement de l’appartement légendaire du Dr Schlumbohm où il a conçu l’emblématique cafetière Chemex.
